Patriotic Wall Banner

 I whipped up this darling Fourth of July banner yesterday evening.  It was a kit – everything precut – can’t beat that with a stick.  No binding – did the pillowcase method of finishing and the blanket stitching was done as part of the quilting.  The rest of the quilting done on my Viking Quilt Designer. 

Rascal news – spoke with the vet – the blood tests show negative for rheumatoid arthritis – in fact negative or normal for everything except his blood platelet count was low and they could see clumping of the platelets (probably what caused the low count).  Doc is going to research that over the weekend – he says he doesn’t know of any autoimmune disease that causes platelet clumping.  Rascal will continue on the prednisone as he is feeling so much better but we are going to back off on the amount a bit to see if that helps with the excessive drinking of water (and the excessive result that goes along with lots of water intake – poor baby had an accident and so ashamed).
