My very good friend Jolene has a birthday this month – she’s turning…………??? well, let’s just say she’s ten years my junior. For her present I quilted one of her (many many) tops hanging in my closet in the studio waiting for me. This one was a lot of fun. For an extra treat I sewed the binding on for her, too (probably why the binding was already made and here waiting for me!)
The quilting pattern is an edge-to-edge overall that I developed with thanks to Suzanne Earley, Kim Stotsenberg, and Dawn Ramirez. Their longarm books and dvds are awesome.

Jolene will love it. She’s lucky to have you as such a good friend (as am I!)

Good work, Karen. I agree with Corky, Jolene’s blessed to have a friend like you. I hope all of you have a great time this weekend. Also–I love the flowers at the top of your blog.

Judy – I am more blessed to have Jolene – she is my “grounding wire.” The flowers are from my yard – I do well with lilies.
