A quiet day

Not a very exciting day but a nice one.  Hubby and I worked on pool maintenance this morning and then took the pups for a walk.  Then I actually cooked a real breakfast (rare for me).  By late morning I was in the quilting room loading a quilt on the Prince.  After some stops and starts with a cranky thread we have been whizzing along on this one – it’s a Turning Twenty pattern with music prints done by my friend Janice as a college graduation present for her niece who is (was?) a music major.  The graduation is a week from tomorrow so I’m hoping to get this one off the frame tonight and delivered to Janice tomorrow so she can get the binding done and the label on and not have to be stitching on the drive to the commencement exercises!!

Frances, another good quilting friend came up this afternoon to bring me a top to quilt for her.  It’s a gorgeous rendition of the state tree – the palmetto.  It’s going to make a wonderful wall hanging.  I got to show off the progress on moving to the studio.

Better get back to quilting – I think another hour at the most and this one can be called “finito.”
